Democrats constantly claim the GOP is waging a war on women. This while not being able to provide any legitimate evidence any sort of war on women actually exists. On the flip side, there is ample evidence showing that Democrats are constantly attacking GOP women at every turn.
Take Iowa tea party Senate candidate Joni Ernst, for example. Six weeks ago Ernst was a longshot to defeat liberal Democrat candidate Bruce Braley. Today, however, the day before the election, Ernst is stomping Braley according to the polls. By a whopping 7%!
Des Moines Register has more.
Joni Ernst has charged to achieve a 7-point lead over Democrat Bruce Braley in a new Iowa Poll, which buoys the GOP’s hope that an Iowa victory will be the tipping point to a Republican takeover of the U.S. Senate.
Ernst, a state senator and military leader, enjoys 51 percent support among likely voters. That’s a majority, and it’s her biggest lead in the three Iowa Polls conducted this fall. Braley, a congressman and trial lawyer, gets 44 percent, according to The Des Moines Register’s final Iowa Poll before Tuesday’s election.
“This race looks like it’s decided,” said J. Ann Selzer, who conducted the poll for the Register. “That said, there are enormous resources being applied to change all that.”
This news isn’t sitting well with the leftist Democrat establishment. How are they responding? With war on women, of course.
Retiring Democratic Iowa Sen. Tom Harkin says that Iowa voters shouldn’t be fooled because Joni Ernst is “really attractive” and “sounds nice.”
“In this Senate race, I’ve been watching some of these ads,” Harkin said at the Story County Democrats’ annual fall barbecue last week honoring the retiring senator. “And there’s sort of this sense that, ‘Well, I hear so much about Joni Ernst. She is really attractive, and she sounds nice.’”
“Well I gotta to thinking about that. I don’t care if she’s as good looking as Taylor Swift or as nice as Mr. Rogers, but if she votes like Michele Bachmann, she’s wrong for the state of Iowa.”
Seriously?
Keep this in mind when you go to the polls, folks.
